Lineman Competition

8:00–11:30 AM. Each team wristbands 12 linemen; only wristbanded athletes compete. Events run in the morning, with the Tug-of-War bracket closing out the day.

1.Bench Press

8 athletes

205 lbs for max reps — one recorded attempt. Spotter helps only lifting the bar off the rack; any touch after that ends the attempt.

2.Power Clean Max

8 athletes

3 attempts to power clean the most weight for 1 rep. Best clean is recorded. No bouncing off the ground; the lift must start from the floor.

3.Tire Flip Relay

8 athletes

Each athlete flips the tire 4 times, running one full circle around the tire between flips, then tags the next competitor.

4.2-Man Sled Relay

8 athletes

Teams of two push a two-man sled around a trash-can course (all left turns, NASCAR style). Hitting a can or cutting inside the course is a 2-second penalty.

5.6-Man Bob Sled Relay

12 athletes

Teams of 6 push the sled 50 yards; a fresh team of 6 pushes it back 50 yards to the start. No need to turn the sled.

6.Obstacle Course

8 athletes

1-man sled push (5 yds) → tire flip → slalom bags → Prowler push (10 yds) → shuffle through 4 agility bags → sprint to finish, tagging the next athlete.

7.Tug-of-War (Finals)

10 athletes

Single-elimination bracket seeded by total points from the day's events. Gloves allowed; no wrapping the rope around any body part or the team is disqualified.

Rules & Regulations

Passing Tournament Play Rules
  • 01Every team is guaranteed 5 games. Every player must wear a soft-shell helmet (highly recommended, not required).
  • 02One-hand touch below the neck. No blocking. Play is 7-on-7.
  • 03Offense gets 3.0 seconds to throw without a center, 3.59 with a center, and 2.5 when throwing from 3 yards or less from the line of scrimmage.
  • 04First series begins on the plus-40. You need to go 40 yards to score. Each team has three downs to pass midfield and four downs to score inside the 20.
  • 05A touchdown is 6 points; extra point is automatic. Go for 2 from the 10 — miss it and the TD reverts to 6 points only. An interception counts as 1 point.
  • 06All fumbles that touch the ground are dead, except on the center–QB exchange. One draw play per game allowed (none from the 20-yard line in, no QB draws).
  • 07If the defense stops the offense on downs, it takes over on offense at the plus-40. After an interception, the offense gets the ball at the 30.
  • 08A sack (throw clock expired) is a loss of 5 yards from the previous spot and does NOT overrule an interception.
  • 09Games are 30 minutes. A game continues past the limit only if the offense still has a chance to win or tie. Ties are broken by one play from the 40.
  • 10Coaches must stay out of the defensive secondary. Any flagrant foul or fight can disqualify a player and/or team.
Seeding & Brackets
  • 1st & 2nd place teams from each pool advance to the Gold Division Championship bracket.
  • 3rd, 4th & 5th place teams are placed into the Silver & Bronze brackets — the bottom team from each pool goes to Bronze.
  • Seeding is determined by pool finish, then pool record, then point differential, then points scored. A remaining tie is broken by a coin flip.
  • Seedings post live on this page the moment the last pool game is scored (by 1:00 PM).
